My phone is a mobile and digital canvas.
Over the years, I've honed my digital art skills using various apps on my phone. I've transformed simple images into unique, custom art by smudging, swiping, and tapping my screen. This journey began in 2011, and I've been exploring the possibilities of mobile art ever since. One app, in particular, has been a game-changer for me. Blender was an app that allowed users to overlay photos on top of one another by adjusting the image opacity. I remember the first time I used it and how it opened up a new world of artistic possibilities. Today, phone apps offer capabilities comparable to those of desktop programs. It's incredible how a simple tap on a screen can turn into a work of art.
My artistic journey was profoundly shaped by the creations of Reservoir_Dan, the author of the iBook "Appstractions—An iPhoneography Dreamscape," as well as Bob Weil and Nicki Fitz-Gerald, editors of "The Art of iPhone Photography." Their contributions and the innovations of countless app developers have ignited and sustained my passion for digital art.
If you're intrigued by digital art, please take the next step and download a photography or glitch app from your app store. They're just a few taps away, waiting to unleash your creativity.
